Prices were a little high and the isles were small. They had some cool stuff. My biggest complaint was no bathroom. No bathroom in most of the stores. They told me there was one across the street at the train station but it was closed. I had to walk 3 blocks to find a restroom. This whole town needs to chip in for a public restroom!!!
Very unique place even if you don't buy anything. Two floors of all kinds of items for sale. Two talking automatron, an old guy and a moose. Normally it is very crowded. A very popular place to visit in North Conway. It can get very crowded which greatly delays cashing out at the register.
I love this place, I don't care that there is tons to look at. It's a fun little adventure. It has something for everyone. I will say it does get busy and sometimes overcrowded, but that's because it is a really fun place. It really is like a tourist trap...but who cares, I love that kind of stuff. No one is holding a gun at you saying you need to buy stuff...just enjoy all the fun stuff and quit complaining. This store stays open longer than most of the places in North Conway..and you could spend a lot of time looking at all the stuff they have. Yes you could probably buy half of what they sell down the street for less, so save your money and do so. I enjoy all the smells in the apothecary room and I love the smell of the pickles in the barrels. They have an old fashioned candy counter and everyone that has ever helped me in the store has been friendly. Overall this is a two story store that has variety.
wonderful general store with two floors of everything you would want or expect to see. they have the tastiest fudge and you would be remiss not buying any... go for the maple. speaking of that, plenty of maple syrup and candies for you to enjoy as well, if you are a fellow maple addict. also, plenty of Moxie on hand, as well as its associated merchandise. the staff are lovely and helpful. definitely worth a visit!
Love this store! So much to look at,something for everyone. We love to visit every time we are in the area. We usually get super friendly staff and the gentlemen who checked us out was friendly. But the women who grabbed our fudge was SO extremely rude! We came in just to grab some to bring home and it was like she was helping her mortal enemy (and the store has only been open an hour). customer service is huge to me if I'm going to spend my money somewhere. if you don't want to be nice to the people visiting and buying from the store you work at, maybe you need a different job.
