This place is awesome! They allow dogs on the train if well behaved. The train ride was very beautiful and scenic. First time I've ever been on a train ride. And there are places you can take pictures while on the train.
Every time we visit North Conway we make time for this wonderful experience. We've done the short excursions and dinner train. We plan on making a special trip up from Florida next fall to do the murder mystery train. No better way to enjoy the beautiful countryside of the Mount Washington valley than by North Conway Scenic Rail.
We purchased ten tickets as a family to do the polar express. The tickets were first class and the train was very impressive. The line up process is very unorganized and confusing with some groups cutting the line and others waiting. We waited for over twenty minutes outside to board the train. Once on the train one staff member seemed like she couldn’t careless but the others were excellent. The train ride seems short for what you pay for. Once you arrive it is again unorganized and disorderly with a small boy getting separated from his family. At Santa’s workshop Santa started on the opposite side of us and due to time constraints he skipped our children. I would never recommend this trip to anyone.
This is a great ride! The first class seating is really comfy. We ordered lunch on the train, and the food was excellent. Riders may also be seated in coach or in the dome car. Many people either ordered box lunches or brought their own coolers. Check with the RR fir any restrictions. Th e views were beautiful and the,ride included narrated stories about the train.
Great experience! Would highly recommend it. Rode the Gertrude Emma and our tour guide was detailed in explaining what to expect. He encouraged passengers to switch sides to see a different view on our return trip from Conway. One couple didn’t move but the rest of the passengers shuffled around and it was great. Made everyone very happy.
