Love this place! Have been coming here for 35 years. New owners are great. They are making a lot of improvements and are very accommodating. Our children and grandchildren all camp up there now. They all love it. Can't wait to go back every year!!
WE camp here almost every weekend from season opening to closing weekend. Close to everything you could need too, which makes it great for those rainy days.
We camp here every year for 2 weeks straight. WE LOVE IT!!!! We come here for the river and they by far have the BEST beach, BEST views of the river and the most fun on the river with rope swings just up and down from their campground. New owners Tom, his wife and co-workers are trying incredibly hard to bring this campground back to its former glory. From upgrading the electric and sewer to tree trimming, planning activities and having beach parties and music. Give them a try, even if you weren’t happy before!! Must respect them for what they are doing to this wonderful old campground on the Saco River!!!
Just left the beach campground. The sites are a good size and kept clean. Beach is really nice. Weekend's are pretty busy. During both weekends campers were a little noisy after quiet time. One problem I hope they can work on is adults and children walking or biking through your site, especially if your site is on the way to the bathrooms. I would definitely come back during the weekdays.
This was my family's first time here and we loved it. Its very kid friendly with a playground and events (trick or treating, bonfire on the beach with karaoke, movies at the pavilion). The owners are very nice, the grounds are clean, and the river is gorgeous. This location is great, shopping mall and outlets nearby! We will come back here again!
The NEW owners are doing great. They are doing improvements all the time. The previous owners had run this place down and did not do any improvements. The sites are clean, large and the campground is quiet. pet friendly too, i bring my 2 dogs all the time. The other long term campers here are very friendly as well.
